Comments: My experience with Dr.Lugo and friends I referred to him are highly positive. I met Dr.Lugo in 2014 when I was very ill. I was suffering for years with stomach problems without knowing what my health issue was, I went to others Drs.but they will only give me pills or medicine until I found this Dr. Lugo by a referralI. I schedule an appointment to see him and it was the best decision I had made, he told me exactly what my problem was and explain in detail how to fix it. I was schedule for surgery immediately. I decided to go w/him because he gave me trust, answer my questions, is friendly and very knowledgeable. He is a Doc.that still a human and is reachable. He safe and changed my life . I regret not giving him a review before.
Now the most important part with this Doctor comes with this next experience. My 21 year old daughter got really ill. I rushed my daughter to Kingwood Medical Center by Highway 59.check in thru emergency room. We were admitted as in-patient under the emergency doctors advice-They told us they will come get us to take us to a room. We were left there all night, we slept in a chair my sick daughter and I. I was awake all night going out to the nurse station to ask for the room, they told me they don't have a room just wait. So we waited. At 6a.m. I asked again and around 7 a.m. a nurse comes and said we are going to a provisional room- very private in a hallway. So they took us there at 8:23 a.m. they put my daughter in a corner next to the garbage cans. I took a picture and they called police on me accusing me in violation of hospital policy. I will post the picture later. I asked to talk to superviser nowhere to be found; a nurse came to talk to me-told me they have another provisional room in a hallway for real. I told her I want to see it first so I did and took it because it was decent even though it wasn't a room. Them they told us the Dr.will come to see us in this new "room". We waited but no doctor arrived.
Monday 15th -my daughter was getting worse because she wasn't eating at all, and she was getting dope which concerns me. We just keep waiting on Doctor. Later that day they came to take us to a room #360 and told us to wait for the Doctor- this was around 2 aprox. The Dr. arrived at 6 p.m. he told us my daughter needs 2 procedures but he needs another doctor to performance an endoscopy but that will be tomorrow ( the next day Tuesday).
Tuesday 16, 2018 around 9a.m., a nurse Destiny came to tell us my daughter is not schedule for surgery today neither. I started looking for other options Dr. LUGO Rafael. I called his office around 9:30 a.m.and Liza gave him my message. Doctor Lugo call me back like 15 minutes after- I explain him the situation he told me he will take her- he will start the transfer process asap and accept her as a patient. To my surprise the hospital wouldn't cooperate with transfer, they told me I can't take her. Doctor Lugo fought for US to make it happen he call the hospital so many times to get the medical chart but they created a mess; they even try to get him in trouble for trying to do the right thing.
So at 4p.m. told this people I was taking my daughter and I need her chart, nurse Destiny gave me the round and round & told me they won't give me anything and start all over again- my 29 year old daughter who was in the phone yelled at me leave now!- so I did confronted all this non sense, irrational, uncaring people from Kingwood Medical Hospital -requested copies of chart testing and left.
Arrived at DR. RAFAEL LUGO hospital Methodist at woodlands around 6:30 p.m. He did everything for US everything went smoothly, he was emotionally supported too; he even found the doctors we needed it to proceed with surgery. We are back home my daughter is recovering well. He safe my daughters life, he safe me from having a stroke and saved my family well being. I love this Doctor!! I'll use him for everything because he finds doctors for you in what ever your needs are. He gave us trust and hope in believing they are good DOCTORS OUT THERE. He is number # 1 to US.
